Intention is very important
The Lives Of Man: is about the purpose of life.
Angels circling the gatherings of dhikr.
Let's hope for Allah opens a door for us through this dars, rahma or changing
one's life.
To change my life improve it's direction.
Intention: To learn & to teach
reember & to remind
to benefit and to cause benefit.
Imam Al-Haddad often called the pillar of guidance, who called people all
over the world.
focussed on other people (da' wa) not just on ineself.
2 blessings: Abu Bakr's dua and Ahmad ben Isa settled in Hadramaut.
karamat = a blessing, something which does not look normal. many of them for Imam al-Hadad. His cap - a ship full of presents. - to protect his people from the dunya. For this he wanted to write a book at 63. He died at 1132 aC.
The internet breaks connection with our deen, with our essential texts. The connection of a hadith to our Prophet ﷺ through the teacher.
from Habib Ali Jifri.
Opening chapter of LIM
basmala - saves from quicksand
Say it if you fell into it.
How to deal with children:
basmala takes child from the fire: the first step. Teach it therefore.
rabb = the one who takes care, makes you grow - from what you were before!
1. call - is dua: rabbii yassir! ya kariim (make easy) ease: in every situation.
make our journey easy. see Quran Su 94-5.
or when Musa at Fir'aun.
One aya: We have made this Quran easy for you -- understanding. - ask Allah to make it easy to understand, because Allah swt taught him.
alive - not everyone who breathes is alive :
Hayy (to be alive: is 2 (idrak & fi'l)
to perceive and affect what is going on around oneself.
the dead: who do not remember Allah.
'umur: livspans, periods.
Allah sends people through different phases: see title of the book.
Beginning of book: Affirming the tawhid, we are the ones who change, difficulties
- then we understand the greatness of Allah: La ilaha illa-Allah,
Wahid: the One who cannot be divided, cannot to be multiplied, who is not like anything else.
Al Qahar: if He is on our side we are the winners, not 'minority'.
Al-Badr: 300 Muslims, 8 swords, 1000 kafir
Muhammad ﷺ in sajdah: Ya Hayya Ya Qayyum in the night before battle,
as preparation.
The sirr of Badr is his ibtihal: his turning to Allah.
Al-Aziz: Mighty, the word: rare- unique, giving benefit, difficult to approach.
Al-Mudabbir: He who changes us.
Debt: one of the greatest difficulty:
get people's attention: should I not teach you- the first sentence does not
have to be about the message -
Ya Muadh - a debt like a mountain, say: Dua in 3-26 ao
dars2
1st life: from Adam's loins until birth
So what is this 70, 80 years
It was the life of a pure soul, nth wrong,no denial of Allah, no sins.
Also Non-Muslims have been pure souls for most of their exostence.
Even is they have denied, 40, 50, 70 years are not much compared with the pure
state.
Alive we / they were then (the souls), because they said Yes - bala!
Quran: A-lastu bi rabbikum! Su 7-172
The greatest gathering ever witnessed:
Our life happened a longtime of it:
revive it.
Event of Arafat, awareness of reality,
gathering of souls at alast,
big iid for them (hajjis) because they are saved from the Fire.
Allah spoke to the creation (the souls). this is the greatest event for me
- human being. We are thus honored immensly, we remember it sometimes in
salat: remembering Allah, remembering the event.
Their (Non-Muslims) ruuh has forgotten their purpose, they have been dead for only a short time, so we can respect them [for this].
This Convenant as put in the black stone. Purpose of the black stone, reconfirming the convenant (the alast- convennat): Following (ittaba`) the path of your messenger (the footsteps of Muhammad ﷺ. Here:After leaving the black stone. Coming alive from Hajj.
Hajj: chance to renew the contract.
Human B: bornn to speak / be connected to Alah (sillah): the salah.
How kind Allah is to give us this salah, souls is born with this yearning,
is not in need of food, only to have this opportunity to speak to Allah: pray.
Ev-day you face the black stone, begin the conversation with Allah.
This is the only thing the soul ever needs.
Salah & Hajj are both connected to the convenant.
Zakat (grow, purify) Making grow, purifying your wealth and your soul.
barakah: increase
In the last part of night - at this particular time, f ex when fasting.
Qurıan qad aflaha man zakaha= success.
The desire , yearning will grow:
giving away sth oth dunya,
This body is so weak, so many day needs, it needs, -> therefor it goes
after, it overtakes the spirits, it produces qualities in you thsat are not
nice: greed, anger, hatred.
That process of giving will help you to get rid of thoese (bad) qualities.
Fasting: Leave that body alone, making alive your ruuh.
Fasting is to bring to life that first ahd: get truebenefit, to that need
to bewith Him: h q: leaving false speech,
Allah does not need his leaving drinking & eating:
Fasting is for ME.
Shahadah: renew your tawhid, renew your convenant.
ridhwanu -LLah: Allah swt shows He is satisfied with this soul which has fulfilled
its convenant. 7-172
Otherwise rejected.
3rd Life:
The greatest pleasure:
To get the ridwan of Allah when going up to the heavens, before going back
to its grave.
4th Life: yaum-ul qiyama:
Mother drops its baby, bec spirit is only concerned with
muttaqiin,
Stand to meet your Lord, when his soul is mentioned.
5th Life:
The greatest pleasure:
The vision of Allah.
ta`arruf: awareness/ mutual recognition of each other, when we seem to know
a brother / sister, connected to that day when our souls were pure (our ruuh).
May Allahstrengthen our bnd in this life and the next.
Prophet saws was aware, already when he was born, Allah taught him directly
adab.
Adab: placing sth in its correct place.
2 points concerning this piece of poetry
1. Breaking of the idols of nasrr in Iraq (Nuh as, who did this)
Muhammad's ﷺ focuse was on his rel to Allah, when there where all around by
idols. They were all alone, praying with your wife, they had harmony had
perfection, all around these idols. When it was time Muhammad ﷺ destroyed
the idols, just by pointing at them.
Don't destroy. see the Prophet who had this sillah with Allah, living in
this dunya with lady of perfection, getting perfection from him. (We must
not) forget our relationship with our wife, family, does not really matter
what is going around you, later he ﷺ destroyed them (the idols)
2. Handafi: The Prophet ﷺ: was not tainted by any of the sifah (qualities)
of jahiliyya.
The bringing up of your children takes place before marriage () when choosing our furture partner). SO pay attention.
dars3
Wahid: unique, not to be multiplied
Aziz: unique, beneficial, diff to aproach, we are completely dependant on
Him
Mudabbir: He who changes situation,
f ex removes debts
Imam Al H. establishes tawhid at the beginning of the book.
To get the correct mindset why to study, correct intention.
as in:
Imam Ghazali: bidayah al-hidayah
(fish make dua for taaliba-l `ilm)
Instead of worrying about outer aspects of life (dunya) we should focuse on our rel sh to Allah, calling Allah swt on to our side, then noone can defeat [/hurt] us.
All 5 pillars are for reconnecting to that first event (of the alast) - revivifieing
the ahd/ convennant (see above).
saum: alaw the eyarning to grow by not giving the body what it needs, to
let the ruuh /soul grow.
Hajj/ black stone: confirming the convenant
----------------
2nd Life - dunya
dunya: close tangible [at thte moment, when we forget Aallah], low
Occasionalywe feel tthe coleness of Allah swt,
Diff 5 phases in the dunya:
1st Pregnancy
2nd childhood
3rd shabaab (proud and strong, fire ignited and war began, horse lifting
its legs)
4th maturity (kuhuulah)
` aql - intellect -
5th seniority (grey hair)
Laisa minni = very harsh when Muhammad ﷺ says this: He who does not respect the elders and has no mercy with the young is not of us - -so make sure to stay away from what he is describing.
The worst act is the zaani who has grey hair: bec he should know better.
He lacks the adab towards his own state.
6th senelity: being dependant on other people, may Allah swt protect us from
going into this state.
[But it may be that the person is more focussed on the akhira / on Allah]
\pregancy similar to barzakh,
ruuh can perceive better than the eyes, ruuh can see and hear (proof from
grave, sins forgiven from the dua of the living: Allah show mercy on our
dead) LIM45/46
Then the person can see into the heaven (5th).
If we would hear the screaming of the people of the grave we would faint
(the screaming of the ruuh is greater than the sc of the body. And they can
hear).
dunya: the ruuh with this gret capacity is placed into the (restricted) body.
\ruuh in the rahim (womb)
rahim the word: can you see the honour wh has beengiven to the mother, state
of greatness given to woman, hadith qudsi "I am the name who named it witha name derived
from name (rhm), whoever who respect it... whoever will cut it..."
There will be no soc wihout mothers, my brother is my br bec of my mother.
Connection of the womb: if you look aftrer it soc will be strong, and vversa.
Same many other hadith.
Women can aspire to many things,
status grantet to women is phenomenal!
h (also partof the 40h)
chcild is developed from a nutfah.
after 120 days a malik is sent.
rizq is planned, don't worry too much about it.
-written if you will be happy or wretched: in the next / big life.
the h is not about predestination:
=the importance of the final act: the last action, prepareed for the last
action NOW! story of twin brothers after 40 years in ` ibadah / ghaflah.
h give you the tools for the real life:
is this action sth to be proud of in front of your rabb, if this is the last
action.
khaatima: ending ofyour life: ask Allah for this husnkhaatimah.
(stories of people dying with shahaadah).
overview: fetus: more ruuh than body: purer than we are now (fitrah)
1st point: isl: we have to preserve the child in its purity.
2nd point: we don't children to go out, children bring rahma to gathering.
dars4
Natural affinity of people - comes from closeness of the moment of the day of the convenant (ahd)
lutf: loving kindness: dust in eye washed out by tears
otherwise risk for pain, washing out the tiny dust = lutf
Ya Latif = sending lutf to any muslim
Question: breaking ties with non-msl family:
ties of the womb have to be respected, but balanced against other factors.
Must be applied to the situation, think about that ties have to be kept; min requirement:
is that you greet them; even if you threw you out of the house. Bec out of
respect (1st) to Allah's name ar-Rahman. When situation is that they want to damage
your diin, you must obey the Rahman against following f ex the parents in
disobedience to your parents.
(2nd) = you are not allowed to disabey to Allah swt: avoid situation where you
would (compromise their reliligion)
+3rd Protect your children from the fire
.
Free will:
1.) rabbi yassir ya karim:
the yusser here is referring here to 'you path tow the ease' the ease : your
khaatima, to get to that point (of the end). For this period of takliif you
got a free will, to bring your spirit alive. - then reward or punishment
- Allha does not mind if you you go to H or Hell,wa laa ubaali,
= the Rahman,
anorther aspect He cares & loves you: ar-Rahiim.
You have free will and you choose the path.
3rd Question: Generally speaking: Better to have more fear (taqwah) than hope, except at the end of your life: full of hope.
Question soul: soul is not limited by space, as in sleep.
Al-fitrah: also described in the sunnah: washing the mouth , nosem using
the ziwaaq (massaging the gums of the teeth). sprinkling of water: on toilet and for
washing away of urine.
= first clean, then sprinkle the wudhu against doubts of cleanliness in prayer.
It's the doubt which messes up your salah not the wudhuu.
Teaching children:
1st mother make sure mother is eating halal food,
2nd eat with right hand & basmala.
And: make dhikr while feeding,
reading quran also while milk feeding.
Maturity : new phase in life: can now produce a new child, re produce itself. 2004-01-10/11
