There is absolutely nothing to stress over. You just don't know the code. If
you are interfaced with a woman who doesn't know Islam, when she confidently
thrusts her hand out at you, you simply raise your hand to your heart, look
at
her and smile warmly, nodding your head. The hand to the heart is your
greeting, and the smile is charity. The nod tells her that she is not being
rejected as a freak of nature that should be immediately shuttled off to
oblivion. If anything, she is slightly relieved because by now she thinks
that
you may have a contagious disease or something, which also works in your
favour. Wa Allah ho Alim.
