Part Of The Prayer Outside Of Its Time

If one prays one rak'ah of a particular maktuba, and then the time for the prayer goes out, is it considered a makeup or a current performance?

Al-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

The position in the Hanbali madhhab is that provided part of the prayer takes place within the alloted time, it is considered current and not makeup. This differs from the Shafi`is.
