Knowledge

Prophet Muhammad ( ) On Knowledge

He who travels (salaka) on a road (tarīqah) in search of knowledge Allah will direct him to travel on one of the roads of paradise, the angels will lower their wings to welcome the seeker of knowledge and all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth and even the fish in the depth of water will seek forgiveness for him. The superiority of the learned man (`ālim) over the devout man (worshipper - `ābid) is like the moon in the night when it is full over the rest of stars. And verily the learned are the heirs of the prophets who leave neither dīnār nor dirham, leaving only knowledge and he who acepts it (takes it - akhadhahu) accepts an abundant (huge) portion (fortune).
